After seeing what my original post of this image looked like on a good monitor, I re-processed it to get rid of the cartoon effect. This 19th Century Basilica is in the historic district of Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. A photograph could never do this justice. It must be the most ornate and colorful man-made structure in the world.

The Altar inside Notre-Dame de Montréal Basilica. Even for someone like me who isn't religious, it's impossible to not stand in awe of the atmosphere created. Religious structures are the most passionate architecture I've seen. Plus anything neo-gothic is cool. :)
