Date: June 21, 2009 Location: Valle Verde 1 Models: Jean and Nicole de Castro Designers: Zada Ong and Denice Yusun of Ethos Clothing My sister Zada Ong went into the fashion industry (part time) and one of her projects is the Ethos Clothing line together with her friend, Denice Yuson. This being my first fashion shoot (aside from the ramp shots of models at my sister's FIP graduation), I learned many things; baptism by fire as always. Looking for the right spots and angles, deciding which gear to use, etc. We were lucky that the models (Zada's friends) knew how to pose and weren't shy; otherwise it would have been a disaster as I didn't know a thing about posing! Even the scheduling was off as I did not include the changing of outfits and makeup in the time computation! Editing was difficult as my sister has a different style than my own. Being a control freak about everything, her obsessiveness has made even an OC person like myself give up! So she eventually did the editing for her site, while I did the editing for mine. This reminds me why it won't be easy to get paid to shoot for someone else (commercial photography). Weddings and portraits would probably be easier since I would probably demand some artistic leeway. I probably shoot and edit much better now with the additional studies and practice under my belt, but I would always remember this particular shoot. Baptism by fire is difficult to forget as the burns/mistakes are kept seared in my mind.
