Early in our trip, Don expressed amazement that so many bikes are just left unsecured, all over the place. I'm sure he was thinking of the time our garage in D.C was broken into and my new bike, along with his old one, taken. Don't they ever get stolen? he wondered. I proposed that because everyone in Switzerland already has a bike, there isn't any point in stealing one. Even if you do need something to sell for crack money, there are no buyers. On Freie Strasse at Bankverein.
