1215 Bidwell Street, Vancouver, BC. A developer is proposing a high-rise condo tower on this large B-listed site that includes the storied Maxine’s, notable for its beautiful Mission-style façade. A key issue is the active restaurant/club use wrapping onto Bidwell, which creates a rare sense of urbanism not often experienced in this town. The developer has met with neighbouring residents, but so far no application has been filed. We encourage the City and the developer to explore options to incorporate the lively and long-standing restaurant/club venue. - Heritage Vancouver
