We came to a fork by the road

...we didn't take it. My boyfriend Marc went to Las Vegas for the weekend and his dog Quentin came and stayed with me. We went on three walks a day and I loved them. Watching Quentin explore every blade of grass was meditative. I spent more time really looking at the lower half of my neighborhood then ever before. I made friends with this great dog and noticed all kinds of things I would normally have missed. He found a dead snake, a sock, and what looked like the cap to a tube of toothpaste. Then there was a fork in the grass. Update: Quentin got loose on Mother's Day from his great-grandparents' yard. We've been looking for him - keep your fingers crossed.
