Mile 31: Unknown Bottom. Campsites were elusive this day. I ended up paddling 25 miles. I would have stopped sooner, but there were no easy pull-outs. This site had a moderately steep pull-out and I had to bust through willows to get to it. I wouldn't have bothered except for the lightning that suddenly became very close.

Mile 31: Anderson Bottom. There's an old cistern blasted in the rock. I suspect this is a lead pipe, since there's no rust. And that's definitely algae. Whatever. This water tasted much better than what I'd been finding up the canyons.

Mile 31: Anderson Bottom. This is a rincon. The river used to travel in loop around here, but it short circuited itself eventually, and left this riverbed high and dry.
