Rio de Janeiro, 2005 The view from Corcovado out over Rio was mostly obscured by low clouds; but I noticed that the statue of Christ was unaffected, so I concentrated on it, rather than Sugar Loaf, as a subject. Years ago, I'd have only shot it straight on -- a typical tourist snapshot; but I've learned to focus on those wonderful details that together create the whole. Sony DSC-P100.
