Tucked away down a lane overlooking Pendleton Brook. Even though you're only half a mile from the A6 (as the crow flies and if you cross the River Derwent) you could be in the middle of nowhere.

This is the Sheela na gig on the side of the old chapel in Alderwasley. There is some doubt as to whether it is in fact a Sheela na gig or a crude and vulgar pose. What do you think ?
