This was prepared for the Great Postcard Hunt group. At the top is an old postcard showing Alameda's City Hall, and at the bottom is a photo taken at the same location today (2008). It is still being used as City Hall; the bell tower was removed as being seismically unsafe after one of Calif.'s many earthquakes many years ago. Alameda's Carnegie Library is on the left (although it is no longer used as a library and a controversy is currently raging regarding what use it should be put to).
