Beggar

This woman was crying and begging for money with a sleeping child in her arms. It was +41 degrees C and no wind. Most people just passed her. As I was watching I did see this man looking at her smiling and then walked away. I walked over to her and gave her my last Euro and a few Eurocent. I had no money left with me and I still had 2 hours until the bus left with hardly anything to drink. But she looked like she needed the money more than me. She cried even more and blessed me with the power of Saint Gerossimus when I gave her the money.

When I went to see the celebration of Agios Gerossimus (Saint Gerossimus) on Kefalonia, Greece, I saw these sitting begging for money. She couldn't speek and were just making throat sounds. I took some photos from a distance and I went over and gave her 2 Euros and asked if I could take a photo. They blessed me with the power of St.Gerossimus for helping them

When I went in to Gerossimus church to take pictures, this woman started shouting to me in greek. I thought she meant I couldn't take pictures in the church. I soon figured out she wanted me to take a picture of her. She then gave me the address so I could send her the photo...in greek!

Impressive door bells! Interestingly, the convent adjacent to it was completely destroyed by the 1953 earthquake, yet the gate was undamaged.
