Programme for the Star Theatre of Varieties, 1895, from our ephemera collections. By 1904 the theatre had changed its name to the Empire Palace, but Dubliners still frequently referred to it as Dan Lowrey's the name of the former managing director, seen on the programme here. The theatre was one of the many places passed by Leopold Bloom on his odyssey around the city of Dublin, on 16 June 1904. Reproduction rights owned by the National Library of Ireland

33/366 :: Gruel We went to a lovely homely cafe for some tasty dinner called Gruel just north of Temple Bar. The cafe was called Gruel, the dinner itself was tasty!
