I really liked the architecture at the Changdeokgung Palace. Much of the design was simpler than a lot of Chinese or Japanese-style designs, and the details were impeccable. The stonework was gorgeous. It was very difficult to capture given the poor lighting, rushed tour, and limited equipment that I had taken (I have only a 90mm f/2.8 lens with me on the tour!). Unfortuantely, the only way to visit this palace is on a guided tour; I could spend hours in this garden.
Backlit Japanese Maple Leaves

Recent drought conditions have rendered the trees in the Seoul area to be dry and somewhat colorless. The greens were very dull and unattractive, but there is no superior to the form of a Japanese maple leaf. I almost nailed the DoF, but not quite. Still, I think this is attractive if you don't look too closely at the focus.
Stucco Decorative Wall

This decorative stucco wall with patchwork wood partitions really surprised me and seems to be completely at odds with the traditional Korean architecture of the Changdeokgung Palace grounds buildings.
