One night stall on Sukhumvit Road always leaves me scratching my head... the murdered, dead insects now pinned on card and framed in black wood stall. Never have I seen anyone buy any of these macabre objets d'art. Never. I can't imagine any tourist would manage to get them through customs at their own airports. So who buys them? None of my local chums, that's for sure. They're all into the pseudie wishy washy pictures of the novice monks looking cutesie in soft focus in front of the chedis at Sukothai and Ayuthaya. ...I'd be up for a couple of these scorpions hanging in the office, but I don't think my secretary would be too chuffed about it. As penance I'd be forced to suffer thirty small mirrors, twelve red chinese mantra strips with the gold tassles and all the other modern day feng shui accessories that counteract the worry of what the insect spirits / pee mot are doing.

A semi unprovoked smile. It was because Khun Kung had got a print of a portrait photo taken some days earlier. Crikey.... the little things in life eh? But then some people don't often get their picture taken as a normal person would. I can only presume that horizontal corrugated iron is more comfortable to lean against than vertical corrugated iron. (My world is seen from eyes six feet up the body of someone who is 6'5 tall.)

Sometimes she sits and waits. And sometimes she waits and sits. Taken as I walked along the street, I held the camera above my head at full arm stretch and pointed in the general direction to see what happened. Her eyes are an arm's length below my eyes, my camera was an arm's length above my eyes. And I was fortunate that while doing this I could hold my briefcase in my right hand.
