Held on the first 9 days of the ninth Chinese lunar month. The markets in Bangkok's Chinatown or Yaowarat district were packed even more than usual. I'm a big fan of this festival and look forward to it every year. Its can be quite challenging finding decent, if any vegetarian food the other 356 days. They do some really wild things down in Phuket to which include some pretty wild piercings.
