the monastery and castle of Escornalbou near Riudecanyes. The existence of the castle is dated back as far as 1153. Both the castle and the monastery were occupied by the Augustinian canons until 1574, later the site passed into the hands of the Franciscans. Eduard Toda renovated it freely many years later.
